Elon Musk
Why does everyone hate him?

Seen a lot of stuff about folk logging off Twitter (not that I use it) in protest.

Why?

Re: Elon Musk
Hopefully Musk is a lifetime Spurs fan who wants to be part of the PL.

Re: Elon Musk
Seems like somebody is acutely desperate to prove themselves right about something/anything on this site in order to score points against those with opposing views to themselves.

Thought we'd all grown out of that 20 years ago.

You’d have to be an utter cunt to fall for that Pelosi conspiracy though.

Re: Elon Musk
Interesting opinion I read this owning was that Musk seems to be getting programmed to get more looney by the social media algorithms he’s being exposed to.

From a hugely talented engineer then a gradual descent to internet loon.

Re: Elon Musk
Twitter users need to realise/accept that Twitter belongs to Musk and not them. There's no way, morally or legally, to spin it any other way.

Without users, of course, there would be no Twitter at all, but that doesn't infer any sort of stakeholder status in the company.

The fact that there's not actually a mass exodus to other platforms shows how addicted to the application the users are, and Musk probably knows that better than the users do.

Re: Elon Musk
If losing $4m a day is chicken feed to Musk you have to wonder why he's laid off thousands of staff and increased subscriber fees. Almost as if he's trying not to lose all that money and actually make a profit.

Re: Elon Musk
Why don't the unhappy Twitter users simply cancel Musk?

That's how you show you really (REALLY) mean business on social media, is it not?

Re: Elon Musk
It wasn't losing $4m a day until after he took over and the big advertisers began pulling their money.

Interesting. You’d think from the coverage that it was in the rudest of health before he took over.

Re: Elon Musk
It seems like from a glance, he's making a right mess of twitter. Maybe it's intentional.

It was losing $4m a day - those on the receiving end of that $4m are going to be angry that he makes changes

Fuck me, people are talking as if ruining twitter is a bad thing? Hopefully he will buy instagram and Facebook too

Re: Elon Musk
can't fault the bloke really. He's pretty much a self made man - albeit his family were on the more wealthy side in south africa - so good luck to him.
And let's be honest, he couldn't 'ruin' Twitter, the place is an absolute cesspit with no redeeming features whatsoever that should have been shut down years ago

Re: Elon Musk
What does it matter how much of a cunt a company's owner is if they are delivering a product THEIR customers want?

I seem to recall a few on here not being totally enamoured with Gold, Sullivan & Brady, but they are delivering a football team to play in the Premiership/Europe.

Can't recall anybody stepping away from supporting West Ham on that assessment.

Re: Elon Musk
Lots of billionaires are cunts - it comes with the territory - Musk is intent on broadcasting the fact though. Read somewhere this morning he’s trying to win with twitter while also trying to win at twitter

Re: Elon Musk
I think that what pisses the left off most is the fact that they see that someone - Musk (but strangely not Jobs for some reason...not Microsoft, maybe?) has earned/acquired all this wealth ant they trumpet that it's "morally incorrupt" that they can't get hold of it and blow it on all their pet projects.

His money HE chooses whether or not to spend it or not - and on what.

If he takes Twitter down, he'll just look down the back of another sofa for the loose change with which to buy another toy..

Re: Elon Musk
it is interesting how total cunts always seem to attract other total cunts. Something to do with quarks, the Higgs boson and dark matter no doubt.

I think he’s alright, I do enjoy how he annoys the hard left.

But I do think he’s making a balls of twitter.
